IMPRISONING PEOPLE IN A YO-YO LIFESTYLE
When it comes to “losing weight” or getting in shape, most people feel like they are on a constant roller coaster mainly because the information out there is twisted by companies that only want to profit from them, taking advantage of their desperation to find shortcuts or quick fixes.
They make people believe that the attention must be on the scale, converting them into slaves to an illusory number and creating a toxic relationship between their bodies, food, and self-esteem.
The more “diets” and “weight loss programs” people do, the more they get into that roller coaster and, as with any toxic relationship, the more they do it, the harder it is to get out of it.
Paying full attention to the number on the scale is the biggest and easiest scam in the fitness industry, basically because the number on the scale says 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 about the 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 body composition. In other words, the number on the scale is a combination of muscle, fat, water, inflammation, organs, bones, etc.
The percentages can change significantly from person to person, even when their height and “weight” are exactly the same.
Starvation diets are NOT effective for losing weight 👉🏼from fat. Instead, people lose weight mostly from muscle and water.
This kind of weight lost, is the most common and sadly, the most ineffective in the long term because it leads to yo-yo lifestyle (and the roller coaster begins) where every time, 👉🏼it becomes harder to lose and easier to gain. Guess why? Because people mess up their metabolism by sacrificing their muscle mass.
A healthy and lean body is built day by day by creating proper habits that can be maintained in the long term, knowing and embracing that food is a form of self love or self destruction,
and the 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚 is mostly ours…
Unfortunately, most people believe that diets or starvation are the answer to being in shape and they are not; diets and starvation are a form of punishment and sabotage which are forms of self destruction.
Food shouldn’t be a cause of suffering. Understanding that food is a natural need of our body and embrace it as nourishment, will help us be more conscious about learning and 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 вαlαnαcє instead of suffering,
not just for a while, but as a 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚.
